All UK employers are legally required to make suitable first aid provision under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This applies regardless of business size. For most offices and lower-risk SMEs, appointing one or more EFAW-qualified first aiders will satisfy the requirement.

What does the law actually require for a small business?
